Introduction to Print Collection

Photographer James Bacon has a bit of history with Wayne and The Mission, both as a musician and mastering engineer. With a passion for black and white landscape photography, James' work caught Wayne’s eye in 2018, whilst the two worked all summer on their album As Irmãs Siamesas.

In February 2019, Wayne asked James to produce a series of portraits, sensing that his monochrome style would be a good fit. Three photo sessions ensued: a set of impromptu street shots within the Victorian brickwork of Broomhill, Sheffield; studio shots with a low key approach; a late afternoon shoot within the iconic ruins of Whitby Abbey.

We are delighted to bring you a selection of 12 images, chosen from shortlists drawn up by Wayne and James respectively. Printed to Hahnemühle Photo Rag - the gold standard fine art paper - these special edition prints are rendered in beautiful detail and depth, and capture Wayne’s enigma and unique charisma through the eyes of a long-time collaborator.
